I like the second one better. It looks better, but the first is also more appealing I think. But be sure to see my blogs to have that banner there!

Excellent, I'll put a few things together and share them here later, should anyone else want to use them as well.

Here are a few designs I threw together, anyone can use 'em if they like... the last two are without text at the moment, but I'm sure something clever can be edited in there if anyone is so inclined.

I am partial to https://2img.net/h/oi41.tinypic.com/x5wcr4.png, but anything you could come up with something better, it would be good too. I am buying ad space on other sites to trying and expand our user base and they all seem to want a different size ad. something I am unable to create myself.

Wow, 170x50 is so tiny! I tried to resize the banner you're partial to, but even resized in the proper proportion makes it look crowded and hard to read at that size... I'll try to come up with something similar for you today.

Here are a few for the requested size... keep in mind it's hard to get good custom graphics for such a size. I used a blue flamed glow as opposed to red on the last one simply because I think the blue pops quite a bit more than red does against a black background... and when it comes to banners, it's all about what pops.
